In a survey of Oklahoma bass tournaments, Lake Hudson was named as the number one lake in Oklahoma based on the number of successful anglers and the catch rate for bass over 5-lbs. Hudson Lake is well known for providing both excellent numbers and quality-sized black bass. Efforts are ongoing to increase the crappie population.
