Welcome: |
Since
1965, Canadian Fly-in Fishing (Red Lake) Ltd. has provided
excellent fly-in fishing and hunting trips in the Red Lake
area. We have ten fully-equipped cabins located on seven beautiful
lakes right in the heart of Northwestern Ontario. Whether
you are fishing for walleye or northern pike or hunting for
moose, black bear, or fowl, the serenity of Ontario eliminates
the pressures of the city. Ours are the only cabins on the
lakes, making for a must-do vacation. Get away from it all!
Come stay with us! |

Accommodations: |
Canadian
Fly-In Fishing has ten cabins located on seven lakes. Four
of our lakes have single cabins while the other three lakes
have two cabins each, one located on the north and one on
the south shores. Ours are the only cabins located on these
lakes.
The
number of fishermen on each lake is controlled to maintain
healthy fish populations, providing great fishing for our
guests year after year. We also encourage our guests to
practice catch and release as a way of preserving a high
quality fishery for future fishermen.
|
Several
of our lakes have connecting channels to other lakes which
are navigable with a camp boat and motor. Thus, if your
cabin is located on one of these lakes, your group may fish
the connected lake as well as the lake where your cabin
is located.

Fishing: |
Our
lakes deliver quality walleye and northern pike - "eaters"
as well as trophies. You will find yourself releasing dozens
and in many cases, hundreds, of walleye and northern pike
during your week's stay with us. Jigs, twister tails, spinners
with flashers, and minnow type lures are best for walleye
while spoons and bucktails are successful for northerns. Fishing
is great from "ice out" in May and only gets better through
late July and August. September offers excellent fall fishing,
along with fantastic duck and goose hunting.
|
We're proud of the many trophies
that are caught and released out of our lakes each year.
Walleye are taken with both spinning and bait casting tackle.
Many enjoy the thrill of using ultra-light rigs. For northerns
we suggest using 12 to 14 pound test line with steel leaders.

Hunting:
|
The entire area is an almost
untouched fishing and hunting paradise in the heart of Northwestern
Ontario's vast wilderness. For the nature lover, it is easy
to see eagles, loons, ducks, otters, beavers, bears, woodland
caribou and moose.
|

You
may want to consider hunting in October. The moose hunting
at this time of year is excellent. Bow-hunting for moose
begins in September, while rifle season begins in October. Combine
a wonderful fall fishing trip with excellent goose and duck
hunting in mid-September and early October. The fall bear
hunt is an event you won't want to miss. Hunting for Black
Bear begins in August.
