Lake Oahe, South Dakota

Good bite going on right now for Salmon and Northern Pike on Lake Oahe in the Pierre, South Dakota area.  Salmon are up shallow right now, 40 foot or less and being taken on plugs and spoons on the very lower end of Lake Oahe near Oahe Dam. Trophy Northern Pike are moving into the back bays of Lake Oahe preparing to spawn.  Fish with frozen Smelt  on Quick strike rigs In the very back bays of Lake Oahe.  True Trophy bite, nothing real fast but the fish run 15 to 30 pounds.
