The ice on lake erie is finaly gone . The water temp on erie is 49. First trip out on the lake was a good one . On saturday april 26 found some big fish in 15 to 20 feet of water . Most of the fish were sitting on slight breaks . Berlky gulp ,and culprit goby baits seemed to work the best . Casting and hopping the bait back to the boat was the pattern. Some fish are starting to move in to 8 to 10 feet of water. A few fish came on jerk baits and spinner baits. It is only going to get better as the water warms up . Look for suttle breaks in depth and target those areas. Now is the time to book a smallmouth trip on the lake .
