The Rivers into Long Island Sound have been loaded with Bunker(Menhaden) and the Stripers and Bluefish and WEAKFISH have been attacking fiercely! From live-lining to casting metal/rubber and FLYfishung White Flies, these species are in great numbers with 20-30 lb Stripers being harvested. A 48 lb. Striper documented in a photograph at DEE's Bait and Tackle, New Haven, CT.,  was just hung on the board...

Trout Fishing is still great with size 12-14 hendricsons and black stone nymphs of various sizes doing the trick. An atlantic Salmon approximately 12 lbs.(spring scale) was harvested using an original CAPT JAMES Schetucket Special (herring imitation streamer) on that same River on a recent Raft/Shorelunch Trip. From Baltic to the Woodstick Dam it is another world...
